i submitted a bug report, i think it has to do with my username being a numeric, in the prefs.ini file if i type anything else under username, containing letters, it'll load up. so i guess i just have to wait and see what they say, and keep changi...

sedith, have you tried those solutions listed above, clearing cache and what not, also have you opened up the prefs.ini file and modified that last line, cause all those seem to work for me but again only once. there was a thread here: Linkage ...

the black screen comes back after i exit the game and then restart it?? clearing the cache allows me to re-enter but if i exit and come back the problem just reappears

my settings were in windowed mode also, and i still can't get past the black box. is there a preferences file that can be edited to perhaps change this setting without having to re-install?
